The American rap artist Eminem, also known as Marshall Bruce Mathers III or Slim Shady, has been arrested by police and charged with inciting terrorism after stating he was ‘ready to drop bombs’ at a recent concert.
The 47 year old rapper’s agent said “Eminem is nervous about these charges. When I last saw him his palms were sweaty, knees weak, arms heavy, but he’s ok and we’re going to get this thing dropped as soon as we can.”
Eminem made the fateful remark as he performed his Academy Award winning song ‘Lose Yourself’ which features the line, “he’s nervous, but on the surface he looks calm and ready to drop bombs.”
A spokesman for the concert venue said, “a federal police officer on duty at the concert interpreted Eminem’s words as a terrorist threat and stormed the stage.”
As the policeman was joined by other officers the crowd reacted.
An eye witness to the scene said, “it was touch and go there when they tried to arrest Eminem in front of all his fans. Those cops were chewed up and spit out and booed off stage. Eminem tried to keep the show going and kept rhyming and stepped right into the next cypher, but then the police tazed him and, though he opened his mouth, the words wouldn’t come out.”
Dragged away in handcuffs, Eminem, who is not believed to be a member of any known terrorist organisation, had vomit on his sweater, thought to be his mom’s spaghetti.
Appearing at a preliminary hearing on Friday, the judge demanded that the real Slim Shady please stand up after the rapper, thought to be suffering from stress, slumped in the dock.
“This whole thing has been a terrible strain,” the artist’s agent said, “he’s probably got a couple of screws up in his head loose at this point.”
A statement by the arresting officer, meanwhile, suggests terrorism charges may not be the only issue facing the middle-aged rapper. Officer Entwhistle said in a statement, “the judge has been asked to consider additional charges pertaining to a supposed confession regarding a medical professional whom Eminem claimed to have killed and locked in his basement.”
